How to Use the GotchaPest Reusable Ant Bait Station

What's in the box

Your GotchaPest Reusable Ant Bait Station is a single, weatherproof PETG unit with a refillable dish in the middle. Bait isn't included — use any liquid or gel ant poison from your local hardware store, garden centre or supermarket. The station is reusable for years; you only ever replace the bait.

Step 1: Open and load

Unscrew the lid. Add a pea-sized amount of liquid or gel ant bait to the central dish. You don't need much — the ants will do the delivery.

Step 2: Close and place

Screw the lid back on. Place the station across an ant trail or near a nest entry, so the ants have to walk past it. Indoors, set it along a skirting board, windowsill or bench edge. Outdoors, tuck it near a nest entry, a patio, or the base of a wall.

Step 3: Be patient

Check the station every few days and top up the bait while the colony is active. Baiting takes 1–2 weeks to collapse a colony — more ants at first is a good sign they've found it. Resist the urge to spray the trail; you want the workers alive long enough to carry the bait home.

Step 4: Clean and refill

When the bait is spent, scoop out the residue, wash the dish with warm soapy water, dry thoroughly, and refill. That's it — the station goes back into service for another season.

Tips for best results

• Match the bait to the ant: sweet bait for Argentine and white-footed house ants, protein bait if the ants ignore the sweet one.
• Place the station where the trail is thickest — more workers means faster delivery.
• Keep the area around the station clean so the ants focus on the bait, not competing food.
• For big infestations, use several stations — grab the 3-pack and cover the kitchen, patio and garden at once.

Safety

Keep out of reach of children and pets. Always read and follow the label of the ant bait you choose, and never place bait where it can contaminate food or food surfaces.
